Friday I went to buy the IPOD nano third generation at midvalley. I bought the 4G Ipod nano at RM619. The last generation is RM699 for the 2G Ipod nano. Of course, at first glance, I felt that the second generation Ipod nano seems really nano.

However, after buying the new 4G Ipod nano, I start to love it. This Ipod is very slim, and can put into the wallet. The pictures shown in web actually seems much thicker, but when it come into actual feel, it is really thin.

I like the pictures and graphics in this new Ipod. I can put the artist display pictures on the Ipod. In addition, I can write Chinese into the Ipod. Or the Ipod can recognize Chinese.

I really love this arm-band for the Ipod. I hope someone can give me this arm band or give it to me as a gift. Christmas is coming.

Why I bought this big boy toy. I think I just want to present myself a good gift after hard work I have been put into my work. Again, I am not high pay but just as a gift for me to motivate me to move on.

Just like to say, SENSITIVE person, in my defination, is not a BUSY people, but a person who really understand others feeling and notice the slight changes of emotion for the friend in a friction of time.

Last Friday I may seems angry, actually I was not angry. I was just sensitive to listen some words or some terms that make me feel discomfort.

I think everyone has his or her sensitive topics, in which they don't like people to ask or to know. May be to you is not a big deal, but to some people, it is really a sensitive item to them.

They are nothing wrong about my friends, just that I am quite sensitive to some topics.

We attended our colleague wedding. It held in Sheraton Hotel. I was so thrilled since I expected it should be a very nice wedding. Yes it is indeed a very nice and wonderful wedding dinner I ever visit.

All our team members were invited, except one person who seems a bit "non-related". I not sure whether his boss will feel the thread that he will join us in the future. Just pulling his leg.

The wedding ceremony was very nice and wonderful. The whole dinner was flawless expect the small technical problem for the montage presentation.

Paul Potts (born 1970 in Bristol, England), from Port Talbot in South Wales, is a singer who became the winner of the first series of ITV's Britain's Got Talent, singing operatic arias and impressing the judges in all of his performances. At the time of his victory on Britain's Got Talent, he had been working in The Carphone Warehouse, but following his win he has been signed by the show's judge Simon Cowell to record an album. Potts has previously worked in unpaid opera productions from 1999 to 2003, however, a series of illnesses combined with a bicycle accident in 2003 brought an end to his amateur opera career.

The memory of my father ~ 1930 - 2001

Six years ago, in lunar calender, my father died. I was getting a phone call from my mother, saying that he was died during sleeping. I was shock, but yet still could hold my emotion.

The ceremony had started once we got back to Ipoh. I saw many relatives, including my mother. She did not cry. I was emotionless when I saw my father lying in the coffin. I did not know how to describe my feeling at that moment. My relationship with my father was not good. However, losing a person in the family was really sad. I cried without any reason, since he was father.

Thinking back the childhood was a unforgettable time for me, in which those experience that I encounter in the past really influence me a lot today. I always wonder why I could not be so close with my father as my other friends did. Even the relationship between me and my brother was also as cold as ice. I always wonder why I was put into this family, in which each of us seems to be stranger.

There were many unhappy incident happened in the family. Everyone of us, seems wanted to flee from the home and went to other places. My parents really fight and argue when I was in primary school. It came to a point where they merely divorce. On the little age, I really realize that some marriage could not be last forever and not all marriage will have happy ending.

Other relative look down at my family due to many issue that occurred. It was hard at that time. I suddenly found that, there will be no one to believe except yourself.

Actually to me, I have difficulty in communicate with people, I feel scared when dealing with people, and actually no confidence in marriage.

Old time have passed. That is nothing that I want to blame or accused. Everyone in the world make mistake, it is just depend how you look though it. There are still many things that I need to deal with in the future, especially the communication skills.

2007 Team Building - Part III

4th Aug 2007, another day for the team building. That day will have an activities like Amazing Race in Sungai Klah, Trolak. All of us had to wait up at 7.00 a.m. To me, I slept until 7.30a.m. It was a breakthrough to me since I was the one who wake up first, in which usually KHQ will be the first to wake up.

After breakfast, we all head to the Sg Klah hot spring park for another exciting event. The morning in this park was nice and breathtaking. Our team flag was so attractive until many admires dying to take picture with it before the game start.

The game started and each of the team need to search the answer through the clues and had some video or pictures taken as a prove of team building. We search the whole park and did some silly but yet funny video or pictures capture for some task.

I was surprised to receive a SMS from someone who asked me, "Why are you so angry today, what make you mad?". I was a bit shocked and think for a minute, was I angry that day? Does my face expression sold me out?

I feel I am hard to work with people if I feel that they are not smart enough. This is due to my frequent changing of ideas and my poor ability to communicate with others. It feel good to work with a people who is smart and understandable. However, not everyone is as smart as you expected and I need to accept this truth. Hence, I always try my best to work with others and try not to expect too much.

Sometime I just like to shut myself down when I am with a group of friends. Sometime I just feel that I have nothing to say or not into the interest of the topics, I just like to shut myself down. I may just thinking of other things while listening to what my friends say. I try not to say anything since I may speak wrongly in the conversation that I have no confidence in. May be this make my sensitive colleague, she is a girl, feel that I am angry or mad. I am not mad, just that I am not into the conversation and need some relaxation in my mind. Hence, I put myself into standby mode.

Sometime I really feel offence by some words or some sentences. I may not express it out since I just have a don't care mind inside my heart. However, I just don't feel comfortable to hear people say that I have many money and so on. I am single but it does not mean that I am rich. I still don't want to change my car since it is still workable and not a suitable time to change. I may not have many years to go before I die but why should I need to buy an expensive car? To reveal my status or show that I am a success salary man?

Many people love to drive a good car. Every one have his own interest in life. To me, I am not into car. I prefer to live in a simple way, in a practical way.

2007 Team Building - Part II

The Nice Trolak Country Resort

3rd Aug 2007, our department has a team building held at Trolak Country Resort. As a traditional event as last year, treasure hunt was hunt in the early morning, and the hunt was on all the way to Trolak. I personally have some reason that could not join the hunt, hence I was driving there alone to this beautiful Trolak Country Resort.

Before I wake up that day, KKJM and KKJM's Jie had been contact me through SMS and phone for getting help for the treasure hunt. Well, it was good that they gave me a wake up call that morning. Well, I just wake up and settle some personal thing, then head to the Trolak.

It just took about one and a half hour to drive there. The first event for the day was some indoor activities. We all were divided into six group and each group need to came up a good name. I was fortunate to have a team members that were so active and creative. We named our team as "Pirates" and with our nice slogan of "We are pirates, we will sapu everything."

Without any doubt, we won as the best FLAG maker. Thanks to our Pirate No 1, Mr IS, who brainstorm us and provided us a good name plus a good picture. In addition, not to forget our Pirate No 10, Mr KYL, who came up the brilliant and yet creative team cheers, "We SAPU everything".

After that, we went to check into our room. My room number was 8384. While KC and KKJM's Jie was in room 8380. Although we were in a same block and same floor, it seems that they were having a smaller room than us.

After settling everything, we went to the Sungai Klah Hot Spring Park to have some nice and relax hot spring bath.

Everyone of us were so happy. The park was nice and really well-maintained. I will strongly recommend to go there as a place to relax and have fun. We all went to the hot spring therapy path and soak our legs into a hot pool. The temperature was about 38C to 40C, but yet was very hot. We all just put our legs inside the hot pool and had a nice talk there.

In addition to that, there had a family pool there, in which the water was hot but yet comfortable to soak your whole body in. I was so excited and soak myself inside the pool. I asked KKJM's Jie to stand on my back and help me to massage. She was so cruel that asked KHQ and KKJM to stand on my back. Both KHQ and KKJM sure will brake my back if they stand on my back.

However, we need to head back to the resort for dinner and night walk in the jungle. However, we will come back the following day for the amazing race type of game in this park.

Dinner was quite decent for me, may be I was too hungry for that. We will then went for the jungle walk at night. It was very scary since the jungle was very dark. The most exciting part was when we need to walk in the jungle by touching the string as a guide. The jungle was too dark and the only way to go out was to use your touching sense to go out. We all went into as a team, and walk out as a team. During the walk, we all need to be cooperate in order to find a way out of the dark. I personally found that it was really a good activities, however, the event took many time. It was fun, and yet exhausted.

Later that night, most of us went for a rest since the following day we need to wake up at 7.00 a.m. But for me, it was hard to sleep at 11.00p.m. I asked KKJM, KZH amd KC to have a supper and also to buy the water. I went out with 3Ks and we did have a nice supper along the highway. It was such a nice conversation with them since it was hard to get a time to talk with them during the working hours.

It was quite a nice team building.

ZAX win!!! So happy for him to win due to his great improvement from the previous round until the final round

Wayne become the second on this final round. Although his voice is good, just that he lack of something called charisma.

HsiaoYen really fight for her third place. She was not the favorite to come into final. But I like her, the fighting spirit she have and the style of her stage performance is too good. She always become the winner of the most favorite new talent through the SMS voting.

Crystal is pretty, nice voice and good technique. I think she lose to HsiaoYen during the PK competition for the third place due to single safe. She did not take risk as HsiaoYen did.

She is not my favorite, although she is fifth in the final round. Her voice is great, just that she seems no expression in her face.

27 July 2007 (Sawf News) - According to three witnesses who were in the GMC Denali that Lindsay chased her assistant’s mother with early Tuesday, the recently rehabbed 21-year-old was at the wheels, inebriated, driving well above speed limits and jumping red lights during the chase.

The three boys, Dante Nigro, Jakon Sutter and Ronnie Blake spoke with TMZ and according to them this is what transpired.

The Denali belonged to Dante who along with friends Jakon, Ronnie and the boyfriend of Lindsay Lohan’s assistant were in Malibu Monday afternoon where they ran into Lindsay and her assistant.

Later, Lindsay’s assistant text messaged Dante saying Lindsay would like to have him over for a party that night.

When the four of them arrived for the party only Dante and assistant’s boyfriend were let in.

According to Dante Lindsay was never without a drink during the party.

At one point Lindsay’s assistant went out with her boyfriend and the two of them had an argument. Later Lindsay followed them outside and became angry with her assistant. Eventually the assistant said “I quit” which further infuriated Lindsay.

The four boys then climbed into the Denali, with the assistant’s boyfriend at the wheel, ready to leave. However, the boyfriend got out to talk to his girlfriend, leaving the keys in the ignition. An argument ensued following which the assistant took off in her car.

That is the time when Lindsay jumped into the Denali to give chase. One of the three boys still in the SUV, Ronnie, says he was so scared he jumped out.

Lindsay followed her assistant on to the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, at times driving at 100 mph, even as Dante and Jakon tried to reason with her. A wild chase followed but eventually the assistant managed to shake off Lindsay.

Lindsay, sure the assistant will head to her mother’s house, decided to go there. Coincidently, when she reached the house the mother was just pulling into her driveway. The mother, rattled by Denali speeding towards her, quickly backed out of the driveway and took off.

Another chase ensued, with the cars this time hitting 80 mph, as the mother attempted to drive to a nearby police station. The two cars eventually stopped at parking lot near the police station and that is when the police arrived.

Dante thinks Lindsay told officers, "I wasn't driving. The black kid was driving."

I like her voice and personality. She sings quite alright, not as tehcnically good as others, but her voice is very unique.

I like his voice when hit the high note. The first song is really good and nice to listen. However, his second song, to me is not the best but yet is still alright.

Jyin

She technically is good in singin. However, I do no like her. May be her singing is too technical until I feel that she has not emotional and personality.

Frankie

Frankie was judge favarite but this time he reall mess it up. He totally lost control of his voice.

Cystal

She is cute and beatiful. She is my favorite too. She really sings quite good.

A the final battle, it is between HsiaoYen and Frankie to fight for the last oppurtunity to go into final.

She sings quite good and stable in this PK round. She must go into final and she really did it.

When public sweat heart grow up

Remember when Britney and Lindsay in several years ago. There were beautiful, young and yet a very healthy and freshly look to all of us. Not even the teen love it, the parents were also like them.

Lindsay shock us by her excellent performance in parent traps. Then it follow by the recent teen movie such as Freaky Friday. Her movie were a big hit in Hollywood and she become a A list star in Hollywood.

Britney Spear shown out as a teen star in the Mickey Mouse club. Then her first album, ...Babe One More Time, become the No 1 hit album in USA. All the sudden, she became a famous and adorable star.

However, both of them seems having the problem in growing out. May be this is the adolescent issue. Recently Lindsay was arrested due to drink and drive in addition to having possession of cocaine early Tuesday morning. All the sudden, this girl seems to be a stranger to me. I watched E! Entertainment, in which in that show, she mentioned that she will not do some crazy stuff and only party with rational mind. I think she is now lost and a lot of negative news is surrounding her. She need to take correction on her act and behave as more responsible as she mentioned before.

Britney's latest weired behaviour make all the reporters busying to take her photo. I not sure she is trying to rebuild her reputation, however, the way she do it is too much. She not the adorable girl as before, but yet another bad example for her children since she smoke in front of her children.

Growing is a pain since we are trying to find our identity. Sometime we may influence by others and behave strangely in order to get attention or to release the stress.

Astro New Talent Quest 2007 - SemiFinal round

Watched the semifinal round for this year Astro Talent Quest 2007. Among the six peoples, they will be four people going into final. However, in order to make the show more interesting, the disqualified two contestant will have a final round of PK contest to fight themselves into the final round. This mean that instead of four contestants, it will increase to five.

Six of them are talented. However, one of the fsvorite that I found who is talented, Derek, miss out to go into 8 Best. I am totally shock to know when I saw that competition since Derek, who look like Leo Ku, was knock out in the competition. In my opinion, some were not as good as him but still manage to go into the subsequent round.

The first out for competition in this semifinal round was Wayne. He sang quite stable. I mean he seems to be playing safe in this round. Not much suprise for me to listen to his singing since he still maintain the similar standard as below, which is stable.

Hsiaoyen be the second contestant that night. I like her voice and personality. She did really sing quite good that night. However, she seems not the favorite for the judges and she was in the border of the disqualification after the judges make the comments.

Zax was next to go. I like his voice in high tone. Last round he just merely lost his opportunity to go to this round due to the inconsistent of his performance. His previous rounds were a bit shaky in the performance, and technically he was not as good as the other two male contestants for this final round. However, he did make us all surprise with good performance and good voice control. The judge commented that that day was his best performance throughout the competition. Although he is not handsome, but he has his charisma in this competition.

Jyin was the fourth to sing. She sing quite well, just that too well in technical until it seems like a machine. The judge comment that she seems a bit fake since she sing too technically until forgot the audience interaction.

Frankie was the next. He was the judge favorite. Frankly, I don't like him since I found that his voice and singing was not unique as Hsiaoyen or Derek. He was quite tension and totally shock the judges with the pitchy performance. All the judges were disappointed.

The last up was crystal. She was so cute that night with that dress. She is my favorite too. However, she likes to sing song that have high difficulty that judges always mentioned to her that those songs were not suitable to her. However, she did sing quite good in my opinion.

After the competition, I think that Frankie and Hsiaoyen would be out in this round. And without any doubts, both were eliminated since both of them are having the lowest mark in the 70s ranges. My poor Hsiaoyen got the lowest mark in that nigh. The twist came in for that night competiton when the judges said that they will give these two contestants a final changes. That mean one of them will be reselect into the final round. I felt a bit wiered and unfair if the judges want to help Frankie go into the final round since he is the "baby" for the judges.

The luck did not belong to Frankie. Hsiaoyen sang quite stable and unique in her voice. However, Frankie chose a risky song and again he failed to deliver it week. His voice was totally out of control and pitchy in some high notes. I was praying that Hsiaoyen will go into final round.

The five judges need to vote who will lucky to join the final four into the final. With no doubt, by the vote of 3 to 2, Hsiaoyen successfully knock out Frankie.

By the way, found this photo in the website for the competition. NaiKong, is my senoir during the secondary school. When I was in school day, I heard the he was very good in piano. Now he was quite active in the music industry. Good luck for him.

Your Attitudes: what is attitude ?

It is your basic 'mindset', your outlook, how you view things ... Forexample, people with different attitudes will view (perceive) the samesituation from quite different perspectives. A particular situation willbe seen as a problem to one person and an opportunity to another.

It is usually the person who sees that situation as an opportunity thatwill be able to think of a useful solution to correct the situation.

So, a positive attitude can see opportunities in a situation wherea negative attitude will only see the problems and obstacles. Thiscan apply to all aspects of life.

In business the difference between a positive attitude and anegative attitude can often mean the difference between success andfailure. A positive attitude will transmit positive and friendly signals,where a negative attitude repels people. How often have youexperienced this as a customer in a business and vowed never to go backagain.

People with ingrained negative attitudes often view life and work as a 'struggle'.They have been conditioned by their family or other background to expectlife to be a struggle: almost with a fatalistic resignation that 'thingsdon't work out'.

So, a positive attitude can result in -
- Developing a plan (any plan, even a very simple plan) for your life orbusiness rather than staying in a rut, 'doing what you've alwaysdone'.
- Seeing a problem situation as an opportunity to solve this problem orcreate a new approach to doing something, rather than allowing the problemto block you and your hopes of achieving your goal.

Team Building 2006 - Review back

When I know that this year our department have team building again, I start to sweat greatly after thinking back the physical demanding activities that we have last year.

The programme was too pack. We have not enough sleep and yet, need to participate in many activities.

It all started with the treasure hunt from our company to the destination. It was treasure hunt time on the way. To me, it was fun but I felt a bit dizzy after need to tackle and decode the difficult question.

After going to the destination, the program started with the motivation and the team cheering competition. The weather was hot that day. I think I continue to dizzy for whole of the day.

Another physical demanding activities were followed after the motivation and team cheering activities was raftinh. We had to make a raft and rafting to sea to grab the flag. It seems like in survivor game. It was very tired.

After the dinner, we need to have the Karaoke session. I was too thrill to know it but this session was too boring since everyone of us need to sing a song without our choice. We just pick a number and they will play a song for you to sing. You know or don't know, you need to sing. I was very unlucky to pick a German song and an Indian song. After the singing, we need to dance. The programme was normal but itwas just drag too long for this single session.

The following day was a most challenging day. All physical demanding activities were added into one half day. Paintball was exciting, although our team was losing. The activities also included pretty women. I cannot put the video for the pretty women in this blog since the contain was not suitable for this healthy blog. What so funny about this pretty women. Some of the guys need to be dressed as women and performed cat walk in front of the public. The moment was too sexy to watch.

In conclusion, it was fun but very tiring. I wish this year will be more relax.

RM600m highway for Selangor

KUALA LUMPUR: A new RM600mil highway project under the 9th Malaysia Plan to link the Kesas Kota Kemuning Interchange with the Federal Highway is set to roll out by next year.

Works Minister Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu, who witnessed the signing ceremony between the Government and concessionaire Projek Lintasan Shah Alam Sdn Bhd (PLSA) yesterday, said it would bring socio-economic benefit to Shah Alam.

“Shah Alam and Kota Kemuning have both grown beyond expectations. With this highway, the standard of life of residents will improve,” Samy Vellu said.

The 14.7km highway will be built and managed by PLSA, which is 90% owned by Projek Lintasan Kota Holdings Sdn Bhd (Prolintas), the concessionaire for the Ampang-Kuala Lumpur elevated highway.

According to Prolintas CEO Zainudin A. Kadir, construction work on the new highway will begin in July 2007 and the highway should be completed by 2010.

Zainudin said a pre-qualification notice would be put out today to invite interested parties, and tenders would be awarded in June.

Samy Vellu said the concession agreement would be for 40 years and the highway would be a three-lane, dual carriageway with six interchanges and a new bridge over the Klang River.

“The highway will start at the existing Kesas Kota Kemuning Interchange and traverse north-east towards the existing Federal Highway Route 2 interchange (Shah Alam exit) with two toll plazas at Alam Impian and Seri Muda,” he said.

He added that the highway would pass Jalan Bukit Kemuning, Jalan Jitu, Jalan Padu, Jalan Mantap, Bulatan Jubli Perak, Jalan Parang and Bulatan Selangor.

PLSA chairman Tan Sri Hamad Kama Piah Che Othman said the highway would also provide an alternative route for those heading to the Kesas highway from Shah Alam.

“To put it simply, it will reduce travel time from 30 minutes to seven minutes during peak hours.”

(At the Wednesday press conference where he announced his impending marriage, Abdullah used the French way of pronouncing the name, zhahn).

Abdul Aziz joked that it was a difficult name for Malaysians to say.

“Datuk Seri then told me that it is okay to pronounce it as Jean,” he told reporters.

Abdul Aziz said he had received the circular from the Chief Secretary to the Government to inform all civil servants to address her as Datin Seri Jeanne Abdullah, after the akad nikah (solemnisation of marriage) today.

He conveyed the well wishes of the ministry’s staff to Abdullah, who is also Internal Security Minister, adding: “We wish him and his partner everlasting joy and happiness.”

Abdul Aziz then dedicated a pantun to the Prime Minister and Jeanne: (see graphic on the right)

In his speech, the Prime Minister hoped that he and his future wife would live happily and harmoniously, and thanked the ministry’s staff as well as the public, for their well wishes.

The spanking-new court complex has been hit by calamity again, the headlines declare. This time, a burst pipe end cap caused flooding.

A couple of weeks ago, it was the air-conditioning and power supply. Earlier, ceiling panels collapsed and cracks appeared at the Magistrate's Court area.

All this, plus the recent problems at Parliament House and the forced closure of the Immigration Dept HQ in Putrajaya makes one wonder what is going on here.

The world second largest court complex, it should be the proudness of Malaysia.

However, when it come to the inner structure, it is a shocking condition for us.

And recently, water leakage in the court complex's cafe.

Pointing out that a public quarrel between two government organisations over who should be maintaining the august House was unacceptable, Abdullah said whoever was responsible must execute their duties and take action when needed.

“Don’t wait to be told, (if) that is your responsibility, just do it,” Abdullah told Malaysian journalists covering his five-day state visit to Japan yesterday.

Abdullah, who had earlier met Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, was asked to comment on Samy Vellu’s claim on Saturday that the Public Works Department, which is under his ministry, was not responsible for maintaining Parliament House.

Samy Vellu was quoted as saying that the maintenance had all along been under Parliament itself and not the PWD, adding that the department could not interfere as Parliament was independent and could not be ordered around.

The 44-year-old building, which was renovated two years ago at a cost of RM90mil, suffered from, among others, cracks and water seepage on the concrete roof, clogged gutters, defective waterproofing and sewerage pipe leaks at VIP and other toilets.

Abdullah said he had already told Samy Vellu that he would have to oversee all works relating to the maintenance of public buildings.

“So stop the public quarrel over the matter,” said Abdullah. “It is shameful that government departments have to quarrel over their respective responsibilities.

“Isn’t it better if departments cooperate with each other?

Lamenting the lack of maintenance culture, the Prime Minister said Malaysians should try to emulate the Japanese who are highly disciplined and have a high sense of civic consciousness.

“Look at how they queue. Irrespective of how long the queue is, and there is obviously a space where they can do it, they never jump queue. This is something that we can learn from,” he said.

Last few weeks were the debate in the quality issue of the goverment's building. Millions of construction work but still end with some defectivity. This is very disappointing news for the Malaysian since the building is the symbol of justice in Malaysia.

Talking about building, this week come another famous two government servants that kissed each others in the lift. Their intimate relationship have been exposed through the security CCTV. I think this will shock the whole nation. I just wonder how they can handle all those rumors if their colleagues see the clip.

Today, I ask KKJM to go for the Putra Height Fiesta and my friend's boutique opening ceremony. Putra Height Fiesta is ana event that attract people to visit their SIME DARBY new housing development in Putra Heights. Before I purchase the Kemuning Utama's house, I have consider for the this project. However, I never ever have changes to go to their sale office in Putra Height although the world "PUTRA HEIGHTS" are clearly seem from the Puchong. This is because I don't know how to reach there.

Today by the help of KKJM, I able to go there and have for a look. The housing area is a a bit far in from the main access road. The township is still in development. The main purpose I go there is to check for the idea of the interior design for my new house that will be finished in 2 years. In addition, I thought they have free food and tons of free goodies to give away.

However, as expected by KKJM, there is no free food or any interior-designed show house. The show house is just the empty building itself.

Some activities are going on there, but not so attractive.

I went to check for the show house. The design is quite different, since the land build up is larger. Hence you can design with a court yard or void embedded in the house. I did find something fancy about the switches. The switches are stylish but a bit weired in the orientation. My colleague who sit beside me, has changed all the normal switches to this type of square modern switches in his new house in which it is still in renovation progress.

Two years ago, and two years after, I feel I have changed a lot and experienced a lot. Many things happen within these two years. Two years ago, I never imagine I can buy a house, but now, finally I buy one house. Two years ago my life was a bit black and white in term of relationship, but two years after, there is colour painted in my relationship experience. Things keep on changing.

I still remember that day, we gathered and very appreciated the time we had. Everyone of us seems very busy and can only to have chances to meet during Chinese New Year.

We smoked and talked, never ended. That night was long and memorable to me.

Today I received my credit card statement. I found that I forgot to pay the RM159.48 in my master card last month. In this month, the bank charge me RM5 for late payment.

Let's say, the interest calculated is y* (i/12) = RM 5.00 (late charge)

In my case, the interest that charge to calculate to Rm5.00 base on my remaining is 5*12/y. The calculated interest is 37.62 % p.a

In another case, I forgot to pay RM 10.00 in one month. Then they charge me RM5.0 on the late charge. The interest for this is 600% p.a.

They purposely have the late payment charge on it. To me, who is always forget, I think the bank can get more money from it. Just imagine, the late payment is higher that the 18%p.a interest rate if the due amount is less than RM333.33. Hence, minimum late payment of RM5.00 seems unfair to consumer and will be fair if calculated base on the daily rest interest.

If only the daily rest interest is apply on the late payment amount, the recalculated late payment charge will be:

a. If RM 159.58, then the late payment charge is RM 2.361 (If late 30 days)
b. If RM 10.00, then the late payment charge is RM 0.148 (If late 30 days)

My Swollen Finger

My right index finger was injured at Wednesday. Someone help me to stretch the finger (finger massaging) and we suddenly heard the snapping sound of the bone. It seems to be fractured but I still able to move and bend my finger.

However, it was in a pain. Few hours the incident, I feel my injured finger pain when I try to pick up something or carry something.

The condition become worsen during the following day. The bruises was observed in my palm area below the injured index finger. The finger itself was swelling. I was a bit worry and went to my company clinic for checkup. The doctor said that I may sprain my finger. He gave some medication and lotion to apply.

Until today, still can observed some bruises on the finger. However, I able to use my finger to do typing. Hope it will recover soon.

My New House - Kemuning Utama

Today I went to Paramount sales office to settle the remaining 10% down payment. Finally able to own a house. However, the house will still be under bank asset as long as I not finish the installment of the bank loan.

After collecting the S&P document and Mutual Deed document, I went to check the site progress of my dream house.

Norton 360 - New software to protect your computer

After work, I went to buy this Norton 360 software since my NIS 2005 will be expiring soon. Before I bought, I told my friends that I will buy the original software for the Norton product. All seems looking at me strangely, since most computer users in Malaysia will use the pirated software or the freeware from the Internet.

However, since I really enjoy using Norton for the past 18 Months, I think I would like to continue and used their protection software.

This Norton 360 cost me for RM 289. This software is editors choice for ZDNet and PC Magazine.

I had installed this software in my computer and also my sister computer. This software is cover up for 3 households PC.

Wonderful day to work - Day before Labour Day

Yesterday, was the most relax working day this year. Since today and tomorrow will be Malaysia Public Holidays, most people take leave yesterday. This including my manager.

Yesterday, when I work, I feel so free and easy. No one call you, no one pushing you for update and no one distract you from another tasks. It made me feel concentrate and focus in my job.

I also went off from work earlier. Although the working hours were short, but I still able to do more than usual. Sometime, when people not in pushed, he or she can perform higher productivity. I just wonder why some managers could not understand this rule. Micromanaging and multitasking will make the employees to work longer but yet could not come out a quality work.

I felt so happy. I have more time to shop, and even finished my dinner when the sun was still hanging in the west side of the sky.

I really enjoyed the day.

Nadia 2 - Bandar Puteri Puchong

Today went to check out the show house in the Nadia 2, Bandar Puteri Puchong. It build on the higher land area. That's mean, you can see the bird view of Puchong from this house area.

Nadia 2 is located within the freehold residential encalve of Puteri 11, Bandar Puteri Puchong. It built on elevated land, and can enjoy the nice panoramas of the Ayer Hitam Forest Reserve and Puchong below.

However, I am phobia to high land. I don't like to live such an elevated land. May be I think too much.

E! is finally in Malaysia

Astro will add 9 more channels. The complete channels that will be added can be found by click here. One of the channel is E! Channel.

I used to watch the E! Channel when I was in US. This channel is full of entertainment and tons of gossip and hidden story can be found from this channel. However, I think the E! channel will be a bit different than the US version since from the web, I find that this channel is complemented by E! Online, VOD, The Vine, wireless, podcasting and radio.

However, I am so happy to know it. Let's more gossip!!!

Point Blanc - Ipoh Mali

This is the MTV from Point Blanc's song "Ipoh Mali". "Ipoh Mali" is the Malay words of "Ipoh Mari", where this mean "from Ipoh".

I am from Ipoh too. However, after checking with the MTV, feel so uneasy with it. As a Malaysian, why the artists or singers like to follow the hip-hop style in Western Country? Don't we have our own culture?

From the MTV, it seems that all the Ipoh people like to dye hair, wear hip-hop style dress, and always like to shake their hands and say, "Whassup, whassup". I really not appreciate this song since this is not our culture.

Does Tattoo make you special? Does wearing the extra big clothes and say "whassup whassup" make you like extra handsome or cool?

KUALA LUMPUR: A motorcyclist went on a rampage and smashed the window of a car which had earlier grazed his motorcycle along the Federal Highway in front of the Angkasapuri complex yesterday.

The irony is that he was in the wrong as he was supposed to use the motorcycle lane.

The man’s rage was captured by New Straits Times photographer Zulkarnain Ahmad Tajuddin, 42, who was heading for an assignment in Sungei Way.

In the 2.30pm incident, a Toyota Corolla had apparently grazed the motorcycle on the right-most lane of the highway.

The motorcyclist, believed to be in his 40s, blocked the car using his motorcycle and started to hurl abuse at the driver.
The terrified and lone driver locked the doors and was seen putting his palms together, asking for forgiveness.

It failed to pacify the motorcyclist, who took off his helmet before using it to smash the car’s rear window.

He then rode off towards Petaling Jaya.

The incident, which lasted for five minutes, caused a traffic jam on both sides of the highway.

Can't believe that Bandar Kinrara New Launching phase 9A4, is too hot too many people come and get the unit. I never see this before for a new launch and the sale is unbelievable high and popular.

I feel happy since I have booked Kemuning Utama last week. If I target for Bukit Kinrara, I think I could not get the good house number in this launch.

People in KL seems very crazy in buying properties at the good location. I think that of we never do study in properties, I think we will be given the choice of houses that not as popular in number or direction.

Sometimes I think my work is like an athlete who try his best to get the gold medal in the Olympics. You must not only strong, but you must superb strong in order to beat the enemy easily. During the game, you cannot make mistake. A mistake is so costy that can break your dream to become an Olympics champion.

However, I not aims to get gold in Olympics. I prefer to enjoy the games, and not pushing myself to take the gold. Forcing myself to do much, is like the water leak from the full-filling water bottle.

Unfortunately, in the real world, only the gold medal winner will have tremendous awards, those who have silver or bronze, or even some breakthrough in the game records but not in the medal standings, are usually less awarded although the hard work or time they have been spend to achieve the goals.

Highway link from Kemuning to Federal Highway

KUALA LUMPUR: A new RM600mil highway project under the 9th Malaysia Plan to link the Kesas Kota Kemuning Interchange with the Federal Highway is set to roll out by next year.

Works Minister Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu, who witnessed the signing ceremony between the Government and concessionaire Projek Lintasan Shah Alam Sdn Bhd (PLSA) yesterday, said it would bring socio-economic benefit to Shah Alam.

“Shah Alam and Kota Kemuning have both grown beyond expectations. With this highway, the standard of life of residents will improve,” Samy Vellu said.

The 14.7km highway will be built and managed by PLSA, which is 90% owned by Projek Lintasan Kota Holdings Sdn Bhd (Prolintas), the concessionaire for the Ampang-Kuala Lumpur elevated highway.

According to Prolintas CEO Zainudin A. Kadir, construction work on the new highway will begin in July 2007 and the highway should be completed by 2010.

Zainudin said a pre-qualification notice would be put out today to invite interested parties, and tenders would be awarded in June.

Samy Vellu said the concession agreement would be for 40 years and the highway would be a three-lane, dual carriageway with six interchanges and a new bridge over the Klang River.

“The highway will start at the existing Kesas Kota Kemuning Interchange and traverse north-east towards the existing Federal Highway Route 2 interchange (Shah Alam exit) with two toll plazas at Alam Impian and Seri Muda,” he said.

He added that the highway would pass Jalan Bukit Kemuning, Jalan Jitu, Jalan Padu, Jalan Mantap, Bulatan Jubli Perak, Jalan Parang and Bulatan Selangor.

PLSA chairman Tan Sri Hamad Kama Piah Che Othman said the highway would also provide an alternative route for those heading to the Kesas highway from Shah Alam.

"To put it simply, it will reduce travel time from 30 minutes to seven minutes during peak hours.”

When in work, sometime it is hard to differentiate between colleague and friend. When we work together for long time, the relationship will upgrade from colleague to friend.

However, issue occurs when problem in work happen. Sometime we need to act as following the company rules and but the friendship aside. This usually will make a lot of misunderstanding since we seems not supporting our friends.

Or it will be good that we keep a distance with our colleague. It will make life more easier. However, we are not working alone. This is the beauty of human relationship in the world.

Tomb Sweeping Day and Clear Brightness Festival are the most common English translations of Qingming Festival.

For the Chinese, it is a day to remember and honour one's ancestors. Young and old pray before the ancestors, sweep the tombs and offer food, tea, wine, chopsticks, (joss) paper accessories, and/or libation to the ancestors. The rites are very important to most Chinese and especially farmers.

This year, we went to sweep tomb for my father. My sister, my uncles and my aunties, together with me and my mother, were going to pray for my father. As a traditional, we bring along the food or drink that is the favorite to the death during the life time. After praying, we then burnt the paper make money, houses, mahjong, passport, houses, watches, clothes, shoes, and the other necessaries. Burning those things are as a believe that the death person can receive them in their worlds.

Some of the family members are also firing the fire crackers. This as an act to ask for goodness and wealth for the next generation.

KKJM's Cactus

KKJM said that he had many cactus last time. He used to plant cactus in the house. That day he overbought the cactus and I have the rare chances or opportunity in a life time to get this cactus.

I brought this back to my sister's house, she didn't like it. May be influence by Lilian Too's feng sui. Hence, brought to office, but found it hard since we implement clean desk policy, not green policy.

As a result, I brought back to Ipoh. With good weather and water in quality in Ipoh, this cactus will grow healthy.

Tressure Hunts.... Part I

It has been a big day for us during the 31st of March in which our company organized the 2007 Treasure Hunt. My colleagues and I joined this competition and we are named as group 06. Our team name was Te A Mo, in which in Spanish "I Love You". I choice this name since we love all the competitors and showed that we have the spirit of competition in the race.

During the race, my friend and I were the problem solver, that mean we check the answer, write the answer, read the question and check dictionary. All the way to Simpang Pulai Rest area, where those the journey of the treasure hunt, it was not a good job for both of us. We are so tired during the race. In addition, we need to check books and dictionary in the car moving condition, it was so dizzy to us.

Our "Te A Mo" team, or "I Love You" team, ended the competition by passing the answer and question to the marshal in the Simpang Pulai Rest area. The next stop will be the Cameron Highland, in which all the competitors will stay a night there. About 35 teams joining this competition, each team was about 3-4 persons. We all were staying in the Hotel Equotorial in Cameron Highland.

Our company has many departments, for our departments, we have two teams that joined this competition. The another teams, which leaded by KKJM, was the favorite to win. To me, I will be much suprise if they did not win. After handling the questions, we all went up to the hill and have our delayed lunch at the Fong Lum restaurant in Berinchang. Taste and price were reasonable.

That day KKJM brought the video camera. May be he knew he will win and need to capture down the moment where their team got the champion.

After checking in to the hotel, both teams of us, went to the surrounding market. To our surprise, too many strawberries and the by product of strawberries in the market. Besides that, we also saw many cactus in the market.

The result was announced during the dinner buffet. The buffet seems very nice, but it was not. I realized that we can not judge a book by its cover.

As expected, KKJM's team won the 1st prize. Each of them received a hamper plus a water filter. Our team, which lead by the "Eat God", could not get into the top placings. I think my team members were great, just that I am a bit of lagging behind and could not contribute so much. I totally clueless in the treasure finding, in which these caused us to lose.

After the ceremony, we all went out to night market, or we called "pasar malam" in local. I bought a clock that can illuminate with different colours for only RM10.00 with batteries included.

We all were tired that night. In my dream, I still dream of Strawberries ... I love this fruits very much ...

Crash

Watched "Crash" in Saturday night at HBO channel. This award winning filem seems appealing to me. The story of the movie is quite good, in which it smartly shows how all others people crash together in the cool-blooded LA city. All of the poeple, from different background and races, crashed together. Among the crashes, most of the crashes cause friction and suspicious due to the races differences in US.

I like the starting, when the Graham said: "It's the sense of touch. In any real city, you walk, you know? You brush past people, people bump into you. In L.A., nobody touches you. We're always behind this metal and glass. I think we miss that touch so much, that we crash into each other, just so we can feel something."

Sunday, today I feel happy. Don't know why, just happy ... May be some small thing today, I also feel happy. That's no reason, just happy.

Talking about Saturday (17th March), it was such tired day. Went to the Kemuning area to check for the show units in Kemuning Utama and Kota Kemuning.I went there with KKJM, or we called himm Michael. Michael stayed in Shah Alam and he was willing to be my direction navigator in Shah Alam. The first stop we went, is the Kemuning Residence by Mah Sing group. This is the semi-d or bungalows residency area. The show units were appealing and breathtaking. However, those houses are out of my budget.

We then went to check for show house in Kemuning utama. Unfortunately, the show units were ready but there was not proper access road to there. Then, we check the lagoon house by the Wetland for Kota kemuning. Show house was ready and we went there to check. It was just quite a normal show units. Not much surprising or special in the design.

After the show units, went to the Mega Malaysia Property Showcase 2007 in PWTC. At the same time, PWTC had the MATTA fair and the Digital Camera Fair. Most of the people were going for the MATTA fair, since travel was one of the favorite activities for Chinese, either family or young couple. I wish I can spend some time with the person I like, such as family, friends or someone special to go travel.

However, less people were visiting the Property Showcase, as compare to the Matta Fair and the Fotokem Digi Fair. Not many developer was at that showcase, but we get register for the I-account for KWSP and can activate the account at home.

The whole day was tired. Finally went to SS2 to have dinner with Michael.

Included in the lineup are the wide-angle lens TZ3, TZ2 and FX30 models; the powerful 12x optical zoom FZ8 and entry level LS70.

My dream camera is the FZ serias from Panasonic. The lens is bigger, and can capture many lights. However, due to the ease of usage, I buy the FX3.

However, I will still purchase the FZ series when needed.

My Messy Room

Today I used the camera I bought, and took several shots to test the camera.

This is the place where I sleep and write the blog. A bit messy, but at least it shows the real life of a busy man who hardly can find time to tidy the room. I prefer to take pictures naturally. In which, let the room be as it normal condition, rather than in a very tidy and neat room. This hardly can reflect my business in my daily life.

There was no view outside the window. Just the backside of second row houses.

I like the curtain, in simply yellowish colour. The colour make me a good mood to stay and rest.

I bought the Panasonic DMC-FX3 -- not FX10

I went to Midvalley today and bought the FX3, after finding out that the silver colour of FX10 is not as appealing as the black colour of FX3. In addition, FX3 is at lower price, with RM100 less than FX10. In addition, it also come along with 1Gb Memory, casing, SD card holder casing and shoe bag. All this sound too great to buy a easy use camera. Since FX10 and FX3 are not much different in the specification, I bought the FX3.

I checked the review in Imaging Resource website, as quoted as below:

The budget model in Panasonic's stylish and very portable Lumix line, the DMC-FX3 has a basic set of features, but enough added functionality courtesy of Panasonic's exclusive imaging technology to warrant a second look -- especially at its reasonable price point. Being offered for as low as $230 at some online retailers, the Panasonic FX3 is based around a 6 megapixel sensor and Leica-branded 3x optical zoom lens with effective focal lengths of 35mm to 105mm. The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX10 is a six megapixel version of its close sibling, the seven megapixel DMC-FX12. It shares the same body, lens, and LCD, at a $30 savings. The only other difference is the selection of colors offered.

The Lumix DMC-FX10 features a LEICA DC VARIO-ELMARIT 3x optical zoom lens with 35 - 105mm equivalent focal range, 2.5-inch 115,000 pixel LCD display, 27MB of built-in memory, SD / MMC card slot with SDHC card compatibility, and power from a proprietary Lithium Ion battery.

The Panasonic FX10 also incorporates the company's "Intelligent ISO Control" system (first seen on the FZ50), which detects whether or not the subject is moving and automatically raises the ISO setting, allowing the camera to shoot at a higher shutter speed when needed. After reading the review, and the advertisement I read in the newspaper, I was so tempting to this slim and stylish camera. To me, the camera is slim, and easy for me to carry the camera around. In addition, the price is under RM1000. I think it is worth to buy since it is using Leica Len for this product.

I think I seldom buy a gift for myself. In conjunction to the bonus that I will get end of this month, I think I will buy this camera as a gift for my hard work through the year of 2006.

Add the same time, I have a digital camera, my first digital camera, which is also Panasonic (DMC-FZ1). This camera I bought at the year of 2003. I like this camera and I have taken this camera to US and China trip before. It still work until now. Although I can buy a newer version of this model of camera. However, due to the budget constrains and the ease of handling, I find that the new DMC-FX10 is much more favorable for this time buying.

Xiao Ting Ting, China, stunned the gymnastics fan which her "wow" performance in her golden meet in the Shang Hai world cup series. She has spectacular 5 release move, in addition with another release move from the high bar to the low bar. This is the most release moves in UB that I know.

Beth Tweddle, British, won 2006 world gymnastics championship in this even. She is the bars expert and her bars work is amazing.

Li Ya, China, won silver in the World Cup final in Brazil 2006 for this event. The gold medalist was Beth Tweddle. Li Ya has the most difficult routine for bars in the world. However, she lost to Beth due to the execution of the routine is not as clean as Beth. Her combo release move, Jeager Half or "Li Ya" and Jeager, is very spectacular and breathtaking.

Kim Gwang Suk, North Korea, stunned the world with a perfect then in the 91 World gymnastics championship in the Event Final of uneven bars. She had very difficult routine in which one is created under her which called "Counter Kim". This release move is transferred from the Men Gymnastics skill in High bar. The skills in bars become more release and more exciting.

Lu Li, China, scored perfect ten in the 92 Olympic event final of Uneven Bar. This is the last perfect ten we can observed under the major gymnastics competition. Her routine was elegant, nice and full of artistic element, besides the difficult skills.

Svetlana Khorkina, Russia, start to dominate this event in 96 until 03. She missed the bars routine in 2004 Athen Olympics during the event final that caused her lost the Gold medal although she had big chances in winning it. She won a lot of major gymnastic meet for this events. She is tall, and her routine in uneven bars were full of originality.

Mo Hui Lan, China, stunned the world with her most difficult release move called "Gaylord", or "Mo Salto". This release move was transferred from Men's High Bar. This release move is very difficult to perform in women bars. As we can observe,the distance between bars is much further as compare to the 70s or 80s.

Bi Wen Jing, China, is the big rival of Khorkina during the 96 - 98 meets. Her bars set was breathtaking and she created one skills called "Bi Turn", that become the trademark of China Gymnast nowadays.

Nadia Comaneci,Romania, a little girl who stunned the world with a new record of perfect 10 in the Olympics history. She presented high difficulty in the apparatus and hence the world of women gymnastics start to shift into a sport with more competitor start to compete at younger age.

Ma Yan Hong, China, is the first women in China who won the gold in the 1979 world championship. She also won gold in 84 Olympics, tied with Julianne Mcnamara.

Daniela Silivas, Romania, a great gymnast in women history. She scored perfect in this uneven bars in 88 Olympics. She win gold in this event. In addition, she also won 2 more golds, 2 silvers and 1 bronze. In short, she took all the medals in the 6 events of women gymnastics. Notice that the distance between bars become further and the style of the gymnast start to have giant swing, pirouette and release move in between the bars.

The Stormwater Management and Road or "SMART Tunnel", is a storm drainage and road structure. This will be the longest stormwater tunnel in South East Asia and second longest in Asia. The main objective of this tunnel is to solve the problem of flash floods in Kuala Lumpur and also to reduce traffic jams along Jalan Sungai Besi and Loke Yew flyover at Pudu during rush hour.

There are two components of this tunnel, the stormwater tunnel and motorway tunnel.
It begins at Kampung Berembang lake near Ampang and ends at Taman Desa lake near Sungai Kerayong at Salak South. The project is led by the government, including Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) and the Department of Irrigation and Drainage Malaysia (Jabatan Pengairan dan Saliran = JPS) and also a company joint venture pact between Gamuda Berhad and Malaysian Mining Corporation Berhad(MMC)

It is estimated that the first month as it would be toll-free during this period. This tunnel will be official run on March 9. The 3km motorway makes up part of a 9.7km water tunnel designed to channel water away from the city, reducing the risk of a flood. The part where the motorway meets the water tunnel is the world’s first two-in-one tunnel. In this area, water is channelled into a lower deck while the middle and upper decks are for motorists. If need be, the two decks for vehicles can also be flooded to channel water.The RM1.93 billion tunnel provides an alternative for motorists to escape the Jalan Tun Razak traffic congestion.It is estimated that 200,000 vehicles travel the road above the tunnel daily.

When best become worst

Again, I find something that make me feel a bit down. Knowing the truth or understand the truth is sometime very pain and hard.

Feel that I always make friend relationships become worst. May be I don't know how to make friend or don't know how to maintain a good relationship with friends. Sometime it is a very scary experience for me, in which, most of the people I care most, will finally end up with silent or disappearing.

May be I not a good candidate to become a best friend for. I should keep a distance to all my friends.

CNY 2007 Petronas Advertisement

This is a Chinese New Year advertisement in Malaysia by Petronas. This advertisement, is very touching in a sense that reflecting the actual phenomenon where most of the younger people in urban area move to the city area for job. This cause the older generation to stay or leave behind the urban region.

The smaller town or village become more and more quiet, most of the residents are just the older generation or the wife with their children. All the younger guys have move to the big city or travel aboard to earn big money. Life in the urban region become quiet and less interesting as before.

All the old folks, in the advertisement, need to help each others in their daily life while their sons may working in another region. And at the end of the advertisement, it say that we need to go back to celebrate this festive season with their family.

Chinese New Year is like Thanksgiving in US. All the people will travel back to home and celebrate the holiday with their family. It is nice to have all the family to gather and celebrate the Chinese new year. And it is the time for us to meet back our old school mate or friends since all of us are busy earning money for living.

Courage that Touched the world

TURIN, Feb 14 (Reuters) - Zhang Dan is only 20 and probably knows nothing of the great acts of courage and defiance which have graced the Olympics Games over the past 110 years.

But on Monday night she wrote her own piece of Games history which will never be forgotten by the thousands who witnessed it in the ice rink or the many millions who watched on television.

The tiny, elfin-faced ice dancer had an outside chance of a gold when she and partner Zhang Hao took to the ice to round off a mesmerising night in the pairs event.

Within a few seconds of their routine their hopes were dashed. Zhang was thrown high into the air and span in a blur four times in an attempt at the rarely witnessed quadruple Salchow.

To gasps all around a packed Palavela, Zhang misjudged her landing and hit the ice with a sickening thud. Her legs crumpled beneath her like a new-born fawn and, all dignity lost, she slithered into a crash barrier on her backside.

For a second or two, she remained there, a broken figure before gingerly regaining her feet and attempting to continue the routine. It was clear within a few further seconds she could do no such thing.

Her background music stopped and the fixed smile of the skater was replaced by a grimace of pain. After a few more moments she skated stiffly towards her coach.

That appeared to be the end of it but Zhang, as we were all to discover, has a backbone of pure tungsten steel.

After a couple more minutes she started slowly circling the ice again before indicating she was ready to carry on.

The crowd, finally catching on to this remarkable feat of sporting bravery, broke into instantaneous applause and then watched in silent entrancement as Zhang returned to this sporting high wire balancing act.

HIGH-RISK

Only she will know how she got through the next five or six minutes but by the end of it, Zhang and her partner had completed the rest of their routine, involving several more high-risk spins without so much as a blade out of place.

Their reward at the end was deafening cheering -- louder than for the gold-medal Russian pair who had preceeded them -- and a standing ovation from the entire arena.

Zhang received her marks with a huge bandage on her thigh and an ice pack on her knee. Extraordinarily, the Chinese had bounced back from this early-routine crash to earn enough points for the silver.

At a news conference, Zhang gave a good impression of a young woman who did not understand what the fuss was about.

She described her fall as "probably a good experience for my future career" but spoke almost nothing of the courage she had summoned to carry on after such a tumble.

In fact, nothing she will do in the sport will be remembered in the same way even if she wins at the next three Games.

Pietri Dorando, the little marathon runner from Italy, was a first class runner who repeatedly won the leading races of his day but is remembered today as the man who was helped over the line in the London Games of 1908 after collapsing completely spent within metres of the finishing line.

His aides succeeded only in ensuring his disqualification but they also confirmed his place indelibly in sporting history while the winner of that race has long since been forgotten.

Most would be hard pressed to name another sportsman or woman who even took part in those Games but Dorando's memory is revered in athletics to this day.

You can fast forward nearly 90 years from Dorando to Kerri Strug, the U.S. gymnast.

She also had a glittering career but it was only her courage in pulling off a gold medal-winning vault for the home team at the Atlanta Games while her badly sprained ankle was heavily strapped that confirms her place in sporting history.

That was only 10 years ago but today papers and Websites still refer to those few seconds of almost foolhardy bravery as the defining moment of the 1996 Atlanta Games.

We may just have seen the defining moment of the 20th Winter Olympics in Turin's Palavela ice rink on Monday night.
